I thought it might be interesting to post these.  I get many emails asking me about my process or how I do this and that – so this is a little window into the process of designing a cover.  These are thumbnails I did for Dark Horse Comics KOTOR series, generated after a brief from the art director.  I try to keep my thumbnails very loose and general, giving me a lot of room to maneuver when creating the final art, while still capturing the overall idea.  You can see the final covers here:
